Individual ABA Therapy Program for Your Child

Your child is unique, and as a result, he or she has individual educational needs. At Building Bridges we believe all children should have a customized therapy program that is continually assessed to determine the best interventions and course of action. The various strengths and weaknesses of your child in different areas of development will be taken into account. Communication, cognitive skills, academics, social skills, play skills, self-help and fine & gross motor skills are all addressed. Your child's progress is carefully monitored & documented to keep instruction moving in the right direction and at the proper pace. Our goal is to nurture happy, social, eager learners.

Individual Therapy

Therapists typically work one-on-one with your child in intensive two-hour sessions. Several sessions per day are recommended for optimum progress. Therapists are trained to run programs designed for your child based on his or her specific needs. Sessions are educational and fun. Most children enjoy therapy and form close bonds with their therapists.

Parent Training

Parental involvement in the treatment process is very important. Parent training sessions in which one or both parents and the child work together with the consultant or a therapist are quite effective. Parents who learn the specific techniques used by the therapists can apply elements of treatments to daily interactions with their child. Most parents agree that parent training improves the quality of parent-child interactions and encourages generalization of newly acquired skills to family settings.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the application of behavioral principles to the improvement of socially significant behavior. ABA is the most widely approved treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorders. Read more about ABA
