Emily is native to Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. She was awarded a Bachelor of Science in psychology and social work by the University of Portland, and master’s degree in behavior disorders and applied behavior analysis by Columbia University in New York. Emily has worked in the field of autism and ABA therapy since 1998.  She has practiced in home-based settings, clinics, universities, public schools, private schools, and in the community. She has co-run Building Bridges, with her business partner Beth Mishler, for many years. Emily currently lives in Ridgefield, Washington with her husband and two children, and she enjoys going for long, quiet, trail runs.
